*sigh* Santa Cruz is such an awesome place to live. Today was the first time I've been out to the knoll since I've been back (my college's grassy hill overlooking the bay), and it was amazing. The weather was so perfect, I could see all the way across the bay to monteray...and everything inbetween. Just how lucky am I that I go to school somewhere so breathtaking? I mean, doing something so horribly mundane like homework, I could still be basking in the sunshine, looking out on the entire city... And then-- coming home from Longs tonight, we took a random side trip to the beach. There was just enough light from the setting sun to give the western sky just a hint of pink and we walked out onto one of the clifts to watch the crashing waves under the failing light (haha, poetic, no?). It was really cool. Granted, we were there for like 5 minutes, but still... santa cruz is amazing.

sadly, i did not have my camera in either moment-- but i fear even if i did, the pictures could not do the scenery justice.
