no update on my credit problems, but alarm clock issues were solved with no damage.
but on the horizon is 65 cent ride night tonight, which should basically be great. Am about to walk to the gym, which might take like 5 hours because it's all up hill, even though it's only like 5 blocks away. We'll see.
Finally moved in, and it's been super awesome on the one hand (that is, the hand that incluces liking your housemates and having a cool house) but problematic on the other...such as not having internet until yesterday afternoon, and problems with the cable line in one of the rooms (which has resulted in no less then 4 visits from cable men). Also today I found out that I have been overdrawn in my checking account (which I blame on the lack of interent, and false security that my old depost money would be returned...as well as stupidity) and have bounced checks to both my landlord and my housemate, among other purchases with the check card over the last few days. And then, to top it off, the new alarm clock I bought (on overdrawn debit) somehow managed to set itself back an hour and because of it, Adam will be an hour late to his training final for his new job...which hopefully he can stll keep after missing this final. so keep your fingers crossed that I won't be kicked out of my new house, and that Adam won't lose is job because of me and consquently dump me... because so far that feels like the way it might be going.
Bad/stressful things that have happened since I've been home (less then 24 hours): -nothing
good things that have happened so far since I've been home: -12pk coke in the fridge -bought and watched Toy Story -taken 2 buble baths -coffee with Alicia -good night's sleep on my nice mattress -lunch at Gougho Grill
and after finishing Tristan and Isolde (which I'm watching right now with dad) I plan to go bookcrossing hunting and read for the rest of the evening.
So, I'm on my way to Cafe Brazil, just taking a leisurely stroll down Mission st, admiring the early morning air...when all of a sudden I hear crazy flapping and a bird swoops down barely missing the top of my head, the wind from its wings making my hair swirl. I pause, register how weird that just was, thinking "wow, what a funny story to tell my dad when I get to breakfast."
but oh no.
This bird was not done.
Another few steps and then FLAP FLAP FLAP, and this time it doesn't miss. This kamikaze bird from hell flies RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF MY HEAD and flies away.
Like it seriously aimed.
And when I screamed and put my hood on and started running down the sidewalk, all the people in cars lined up at the stop light were laughing at me.
I had seriously the most realistic dream ever just now, that while spending a day downtown my car was totally broken into and stripped for parts. I guess I'd left it outside a bar, because this crazy drunk guy in a green sweater vest kept trying to "console" me but really was attacking me. I got the cops investigating my car theft to restrain him. Then they began to question me every possible thing about my car. Before the investigation was over, it was decided that I would stay in the little house next to where my car had been jacked, along with the woman who already lived there. But just so it would'nt be weird, i called Trista to stay with me there too. All I kept worrying about was how I was going to tell my dad that my brand new car was stolen
I seriously woke up like, "shit, he's not going to be happy about that." then i remembered that it probably didn't happen.
